Two are more than One

Despite having an experience of working together (for example, co-running SPZ Gallery, the Studio of Painting at AVU or other projects), the „Two are more than One“ is the first joint exhibition of Lukáš Machalický and Robert Šalanda. The main aspect is the moment of balancing: conscious and subconscious attempt to maintain a fragile equilibrium between the banal and serious, between individual authorial integrity and connection to one another, between precision and mistake. The picture is broken, it doesn’t hold together. There is a forked hole in the wall left by the picture that needs to be plugged…
