Study

The exhibition Study in the Entrance Gallery is a result of a cooperation between a pedagogue Vasil Artamonov from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno (exhibiting) and his former student Marek Tischler (curating).

The exhibition is an overview of painting series in which Vasil Artamonov develops the theme of a portrait and self-portrait. The author comes back through his work to the morphology of the first half of the 20th Century and puts it into new visual and content contexts. The paintings are part of a site-specific installation created solely for the space of the gallery.
